ICF-Central Florida Chapter Coaching Awards

To celebrate the transformative power of coaching and honor exceptional contributions, the ICF Central Florida Chapter introduces the following chapter awards. These awards recognize excellence in coaching and its profound impact on clients’ lives and the broader community.

These annual awards will be debuted at the ICF-CF Anniversary Gala held on May 3, 2025.

1. Empowerment Through Transformation Award (chapter member) - Personal Growth

Description: This award celebrates a coach who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to their own personal and professional transformation. It highlights the journey of self improvement, growth, and dedication to mastering the art of coaching. The recipient will have recently achieved advanced credentials, certifications, or made significant advancements in coaching research, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional excellence.

2. Community Impact Award (chapter member) - Coaching for Community Outreach and Inclusion - Giving Back

Description: This award honors a coach whose work has made a significant positive impact on their community. It recognizes innovative coaching initiatives that address societal challenges or empower underserved populations. The recipient exemplifies coaching attributes such as active listening, powerful questioning, and fostering awareness to drive community transformation. This award also highlights contributions through pro bono coaching efforts, outreach initiatives, and mentorship programs that extend the benefits of coaching to individuals and groups who may not otherwise have access.

3. Excellence in Leadership Coaching Award (chapter member) - Service to the Chapter and Coaching Profession – Service to others

Description: This award acknowledges a coach who has demonstrated outstanding expertise in leadership coaching, helping leaders enhance their skills, navigate challenges, and inspire their teams. The recipient exemplifies a deep understanding of leadership principles, the ability to cultivate executive presence, and a commitment to fostering high-performance cultures within organizations. In addition, this award recognizes significant contributions to the ICF-Central Florida Chapter through service, leadership, and mentorship, as well as engagement in global coaching initiatives.

4. Innovation in Coaching Practice Award (chapter member) Thought Leader

Description: This award recognizes a coach who has demonstrated creativity and innovation in their coaching practice, introducing new tools, techniques, or approaches that enhance the coaching experience.

5. Lifetime Achievement in Coaching Award (chapter member) Commitment to the Profession

Description: This prestigious award honors a coach who has made a significant and sustained contribution to the coaching profession, demonstrating exceptional skill, leadership, and dedication over many years.

6. Strategic Partnership Excellence Award (outside organization or company) – Partnerships/Sponsorships

Description: This award recognizes organizations or institutions that have demonstrated a strong commitment to partnering/sponsorship with ICF-Central Florida to promote the coaching profession and foster professional development. The recipient organization will have contributed to the growth and success of the coaching community through collaborative initiatives, partnerships/sponsorships, or advocacy efforts.

Application Process

1. Applications must be submitted via the chapter’s online portal or by email to office@icf-cf.com

2. Each application must include:

  • A completed application form.
  • Required narratives, testimonials, and supporting materials as specified for the award.
  • Applicant’s contact information and ICF membership details.

3. Deadline for submissions: March 31, 2025

Judging Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • Alignment with the award’s purpose.
  • Clarity and depth of the narrative.
  • Evidence of impact and outcomes.
  • Creativity, professionalism, and ethical adherence to ICF standards.
  • Responses to form-based questions assessing:
      • Specific coaching strategies employed.
      • Alignment with ICF core competencies.
      • Innovation or unique approaches utilized.
      • Measurable outcomes and client feedback.
